Expansion strengthens wholesale brokerage capabilities and supports customers across the region
SAN DIEGO – December 1, 2025 – Bridge Specialty Group, a leading global insurance wholesaler, today announced the expansion of its operations in the western region with the launch of Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage (BSIB) Property & Casualty operations. This strategic initiative reflects Bridge Specialty Group’s ongoing commitment to delivering enhanced capabilities and tailored solutions to customers nationwide.
BSIB is a national brokerage platform comprised of respected brands formerly known as ECC, MacDuff, Peachtree Special Risk, and RLA. These teams bring deep expertise in handling larger, more complex transactional wholesale brokerage business. The addition of BSIB builds on Bridge Specialty Group’s existing Contract Binding and Light Brokerage teams in the west, including Big Sky, Hull, JE Brown, and One80 Intermediaries, strengthening the company’s position in the market and broadening its ability to address diverse client needs.
Leadership Appointments
Bridge Specialty Group also announced key leadership appointments to drive the newly launched western operations:
- Travis Blackford, Executive Vice President, Managing Director, Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage Blackford will oversee BSIB’s casualty operations in the west. In his new role, he will focus on connecting opportunities between contract binding, light brokerage, and BSIB, while continuing to build on his legacy of collaboration and innovation.
- Bill Dow, Senior Vice President, Director, Brokerage Property, Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage Dow will lead the property division in the west, partnering with Casey Blair and supporting teammates to deliver specialized property solutions for customers.
- Brian Turnbull, Regional President – West, Bridge Contract Binding and Light Brokerage Turnbull joins Bridge Specialty Group after a distinguished tenure with Arrowhead Programs, bringing over 20 years of leadership and underwriting experience. As former president of the ClearArrow program, Turnbull is recognized as an accomplished leader in the industry. His expertise will be instrumental in driving growth and strengthening Contract Binding and Light Brokerage operations throughout the western region.
