Bridge Specialty International’s roots trace back more than 150 years. The business is an amalgamation of long standing and well-respected insurance firms Decus, Lonmar Global Risks, Ropner Insurance Services, BDB and Mithras in Europe, and Capstone and Acorn in Asia.
Decus was founded in 2008 by Brown & Brown Inc. It was the first operation for the group outside of the United States. As a Lloyd’s Broker, Decus provides a wide range of covers and specialisms to the US market though delegated authorities and the open market. Visit Decus website.
Lonmar Global Risks, previously SBJ, started trading as a Lloyd’s Broker in 1977. Serving an international client base offering a full range of insurance solutions with a focus on Non-Marine and Specialty classes, with market leading teams in a number of specialisms.
Ropner Insurance Services, was founded as Ropner Shipping Company in 1875 and was established as a Lloyd’s broker in 1969. It is recognised as one of the premier Marine insurance brokers operating in the London market.
BDB was founded as a wholesale broker in 1993 with a focus on European and UK markets. The team provides a wide range of covers through delegated authorities alongside its broad experience in open market and specialty lines.
Capstone is a Hong Kong based broker providing specialty insurance solutions regionally and internationally, with a leading capability in financial lines and digital asset insurances. Visit Capstone website.
Acorn provides business, specialty and High Net Worth insurances for corporations, non-profit organisations and individuals. Acorn trades with the leading insurance companies and Lloyd’s syndicates operating in Singapore. Visit Acorn website.
