Bridge Specialty Group, one of the world’s leading specialty insurance wholesalers, today announced the appointments of Walter Grote to chief underwriting officer and head of carrier relations and Ted Stuckey to regional president – Central & LocalEdge, reinforcing the company’s continued investment in underwriting excellence, carrier partnerships and regional execution across its growing global wholesale platform.
Bridge Specialty Group continues to expand its ability to deliver customized insurance solutions, deep market access and placement precision for retail agents navigating complex and emerging risks. These leadership appointments further strengthen the company’s ability to serve its carrier and distribution partners while positioning the business for continued growth.

Walter Grote named Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Carrier Relations
Walter Grote has been named chief underwriting officer and head of carrier relations, a newly created role that reflects the growing importance of underwriting quality and carrier strategy across Bridge Specialty Group’s expanding platform.
In this division-wide leadership position, Grote will establish underwriting standards, strengthen carrier relationships and help ensure Bridge Specialty Group’s offices have the market access, products and capacity needed to deliver customized solutions across complex specialty and emerging risks. He will also lead technology-forward initiatives, including AI-enabled underwriting capabilities, designed to improve consistency, efficiency and performance at scale.
Ted Stuckey named Regional President – Central & LocalEdge
Ted Stuckey has been named regional president – Central & LocalEdge, expanding his responsibilities beyond his previous leadership of LocalEdge to include oversight of the company’s Central region.
Stuckey will oversee a broad portfolio of Bridge Specialty Group brands, including South & Western, Graham-Rogers, Texas Security General, One80 Network Solutions, Hull Dallas and LocalEdge. He will be responsible for regional performance, market development, retail partner relationships and talent development while helping accelerate growth across the region and further strengthen Bridge Specialty Group’s integrated wholesale platform.
